Care home operator Gold Care Homes has moved into larger premises as it expands its team and enters a new stage of growth and development.

The business’s 40-strong support team has moved from its previous premises in Hillingdon Hill to the first floor of 2 Vine Street, Uxbridge, which is owned by Kingsbridge Estates.

Gold Care Homes has 22 care homes around England and employs 1,200 staff. Its Uxbridge-based support team carries out support functions including Learning and Development, Care Quality and Governance, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Business and Estate, IT, Recruitment and HR.

Ravi Gidar, who founded the business with his brother Sukhi in 1999, said the move would enable Gold Care Homes to continue to grow its operations and help its office team thrive in a collaborative, efficient workspace.

He said: “Although it is sad to say goodbye to the old office, we were going to outgrow it in this financial year and have chosen a location that is more central, allowing more efficient use of public transport and providing more facilities to our team.

“This marks the first step in the next phase of the journey for the Gold Care Family. I am very proud that because of the hard work of everyone in our company, we are in a position to take advantage of the growth opportunities presented to us. Our new support office will enable our teams to continue to focus on our core values while empowering our business to deliver greater outcomes for our residents.”

The building at 2 Vine Street, known as Union, is owned by the commercial property investor and developer Kingsbridge Estates. The letting to Gold Care Homes is the second office letting deal to complete at the property this year, and there is also an operator lined up to take the ground floor unit fronting the High Street. The recent successes leave only the third floor and a 2,500 sq ft office on the second floor available to let at the property.
