We’ve reached a major milestone at Ferne Park in Segensworth, our greenest development to date.
A groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of construction works at the site, where we are building three best-in-class units totalling almost 110,000 sq ft to bring the former site of Chartwell Court back into employment use.
We are targeting the highest possible ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM rating for sustainability, putting the scheme in the top 3% of BREAAM-accredited industrial developments nationally.
Ferne Park will also feature solar panels to provide sustainable energy, electric vehicle charging points, and a target of net zero embodied carbon, and net zero carbon in use.
Each unit will be fitted with solar panel arrays on the roof to provide sustainable energy and will have access to its own secure yard with electric vehicle charging points.
Ferne Park, at Barnes Wallis Road, is strategically positioned at the centre of the Segensworth Industrial Estate, close to Junction 9 of the M27 and with excellent transport links to Portsmouth and Southampton and across the Solent Corridor.
