A team from Kingsbridge took on a rainy 20km walk along the South Downs Way in support of Chichester District Foodbank.
The walk, one of a series of fundraisers and volunteering days organised to celebrate our 20th anniversary, saw the team each taking more than 35,000 steps to cover the distance between Arundel and Steyning.
All donations raised through sponsorship will go to a local community charity, Chichester District Foodbank. This is part of the Trussell Trust's network, and provides emergency food and household items for people struggling with food poverty.
To help support our local community, Kingsbridge will match all donations throughout its anniversary year, up to a total of £10,000.
Chris Fry, Kingsbridge CEO, said: “There were a few downpours, tumbles and blisters along the way, but this challenge gave us the opportunity to reflect on our 20 years as a business and the ways in which we can support our local communities.
“We are committed to making areal difference in this anniversary year and beyond through fundraising, volunteering and the ongoing positive impact of our work across the region.”
The walk was the first in a series of Platinum Pledges, which also include our commitment to donate 20 days of volunteering time, and to collect 20 days’ worth of donations for the foodbank.
